DarkSky Virginia is now among the ranks of the more than 150 partners in the Virginia Conservation Network. VCN is the coordinated statewide voice for conservation in Virginia with member groups providing subject area expertise in four main program categories: Healthy Rivers, Clean Energy and Climate, Land Conservation, and Land Use and Transportation. Light pollution and Responsible Outdoor Lighting are part of all of these!
VCN's acceptance of our application reflects the growing strength and reach of our advocacy. More than ever before, individuals and community groups within the DarkSky Virginia "family" are working together and making a difference. VCN membership establishes us as the recognized leader on light pollution and its solutions in Virginia.
To rise to the occasion, DarkSky Virginia needs you. VCN annual membership (we are Dogwood Level) isn't free and as we raise our profile, we need to bring our online presence into the 21st century. A new website has long been on our wishlist so that DarkSky Virginia can be more effective at reaching, responding to, and supporting new community advocates. Your donations can make that happen.
